We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, such as your name, email address, date of birth, and profile photo. We also collect information when you use the app, including party rooms you create or join, games you play, and interactions with other users.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use PartyUp!, including your device type, operating system, IP address, app version, and usage patterns. This helps us improve the app experience.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve PartyUp!; to create and manage your account; to connect you with friends and other partygoers; to personalise your in-app experience; and to send you service-related communications.

We may use aggregated, anonymised data for analytics and product development. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Sharing Your Information

Information you share within party rooms (messages, game answers, reactions) is visible to other participants in that room. Your display name and avatar are visible to other users you interact with.

We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating the app (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings, which will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Cookies & Tracking

PartyUp! uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse how the app is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser or device settings; however, disabling certain cookies may affect app functionality.

Children's Privacy

PartyUp! is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@getpartyup.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use of PartyUp after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
